ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΠΟΛΕΙTΩΝ Hill surmounted by statue of Hercules standing front, holding apples in his right hand and club in his left; beneath, temple with four columns and rounded pediment enclosing uncertain statue. RPC IV.1 online 9922. Varbanov, Philippopolis, XI.58.1.7-11. Very rare and with an impressive reverse type. Somewhat smoothed and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
